The ITIL framework has evolved.

If you already hold an ITIL 4 certification, you do not need to retake the full two-day Foundation course to move forward.

The ITIL® (Version 5) Foundation Bridge is an official transition pathway designed specifically for ITIL 4 certificate holders who want a fast, focused way to understand the enhancements introduced in ITIL (Version 5). This course respects your existing knowledge — and builds forward efficiently.

Why ITIL (Version 5) — If You Already Have ITIL 4?

ITIL (Version 5) is an evolution, not a reset. However, important enhancements have been introduced, including:

  • Stronger positioning for AI-enabled environments
  • Greater integration of digital products and services
  • Expanded focus on digital experience
  • Updated qualification streams and designation pathways
  • Introduction of the AI Governance extension module

The Bridge course isolates these enhancements so you can transition confidently — without unnecessary repetition.

What You Will Gain

By completing the Foundation Bridge, you will:

  • Understand the structural evolution from ITIL 4 to ITIL (Version 5)
  • Identify new terminology and emphasis areas
  • Clarify how advanced designation streams are structured
  • Prepare directly for the Foundation Bridge examination
  • Maintain professional relevance in an AI-driven environment

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for professionals who hold:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP) modules
  • ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (SL) modules
  • Any ITIL 4 certification (excluding Cloud and Sustainability extensions)

If you already understand the ITIL 4 Service Value System and core concepts, this course is for you.
