Transitioning from ITIL 4 or ITIL v3

If you already hold ITIL 4 Foundation: You do not need to retake Foundation to move into ITIL (Version 5) advanced modules.

If you hold ITIL v3 Foundation: We recommend ITIL (Version 5) Foundation training and certification to align with updated practices and modern digital realities.

Course Delivery

This course is delivered as 2 Full Days in a Classroom or Instructor-Led Online format.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

• Instruction Method
  • Minimum class size: 6 students | Maximum class size: 25 students.
  • An official sample exam (or sample questions) will be provided during the course, where available.
  • The formal syllabus will be downloadable from this page once released by PeopleCert / AXELOS.

The following requirements must be met in order to participate in online training:

• • All online sessions will be delivered through Adobe Connect.
  • Students require access to a fast and reliable internet connection and a headset and microphone. All audio will be run through your computer (Voice-over-IP).
  • All sessions are mandatory.

Exam & Certification Information

• ITIL (Version 5) Foundation remains a closed-book, multiple-choice examination.
• ITIL (Version 5) certificates are issued with a 3-year renew-by date.
• Renewal options include CPD via PeopleCert Plus, taking another ITIL certification, or retaking the same certification.
• Additional exam delivery and voucher details will be confirmed when registration opens.

ITIL (Version 5) Foundation is the starting point for advanced streams including ITIL Practice Manager, ITIL Managing Professional, ITIL Strategic Leader, ITIL Transformation, and the AI Governance extension module.
