Your organization says it wants strategic partnership, but everyday decisions still favour taking orders, keeping costs down, and getting things delivered. Those habits may have served the organization well. They may also be keeping it from becoming what it now wants to be.
Changing the language isn’t enough. If people are measured, rewarded, and supported in the same ways, it’s difficult to expect them to work differently.
This course looks at the culture of the relationship between partners—and the wider organizational patterns shaping it. We’ll work on making those patterns visible and identifying changes that support the partnership you’re trying to build.
What we’ll work on
- Clarifying what kind of partnership the organization actually wants.
- Recognizing the behaviours, expectations, and rewards that reinforce how people work today.
- Distinguishing useful habits from those that now hold the relationship back.
- Gathering examples and perspectives without turning the exercise into blame.
- Presenting findings in a way that helps people decide what needs to change.
- Choosing a few practical changes to test and review.
We’ll use a culture-mapping exercise to compare current patterns with the intended partnership. You’ll practise preparing a short findings brief and identifying next steps. The aim isn’t to diagnose an entire organization in one session—it’s to give you a useful starting point for working with your partners.
